Legendary Former Shopping Addict And Author, Buzz Bissinger, Is Auctioning Off All His Clothes

None

Do you remember last year when Buzz Bissinger, author of Friday Night Lights and noted journalistwrote a super long piece for GQ about his shopping addiction? The dude who bought so much Gucci and so much leather that he single-handedly took down a herd of cows based on his spending habits? The guy who purchased a leather jacket worth more than a reasonably priced car? Well, according to GQ, he's auctioning it all off now.

Every Thursday, with the help of LuxeSwap, a new crop of Bissinger-owned clothing will go up for auction until all the things he wants to get rid of are gone. Just how much is Bissinger getting rid of? He had a U-Haul van brought to his place and by the end of things it was nearly full of clothing. He knows he's not going to recoup anywhere near the cost of what he paid for them, but it's more about turning over a new leaf, Bissinger says. Unfortunately or maybe fortunately (?), he did keep nearly all of the Gucci items mentioned in that extremely sad and pathetic GQ piece. A lot of celebs have been offloading their extraneous goods lately, Scott Disick, Dwyane Wade and Burt Reynolds to name a few. So, if you're into owning things previously owned by famous people, now is a great time to be alive, I guess.
