GQ got the exclusive first look at the upcoming Pusha T x Adidas collaboration set to hit stores on December 23rd and spoke to the man himself about some of the inspiration behind the shoes. By all accounts, Pusha is a pretty fucking cool dude and with Adidas' retro influence in rap, it's a bit odd that King Push went with something other than the Adidas Superstar, though with Pharrell's rainbow of colors coming out next year the choice of the EQT Guidance 93 also makes sense. He explains: "I wanted something that would complement a whole outfit. And that's how I get dressed. I think of the whole silhouette. You can't think of the shoe without thinking about the way denim will look with it, and the whole ensemble." These joints are cream colored and feature some fish scale and cracked leather accents (CLIPSE! COKE! RAP!) alongside a gum sole, all of which draw from his drug dealing past because that's Terrence Thornton's lane. Naturally, one of Pusha's favorite releases this year—the ostrich and snakeskin Stans—are similar to his collabo. In fact, he loves Stans in general, saying he takes a toothbrush to them to maintain his pearly white. Pusha T x Adidas releases on the December 23rd for $200. EGHCK!
