Damn, it's been a minute since we wrote about some New Balances. The fact that we've made it three weeks since the last NB product post is really something to behold. It's almost impressive—almost. But all miraculous streaks must come to an end and the New Balance drought ends HERE, with these Catcher in The Rye-inspired New Balance 997s. A little fun fact about me: I've never read Catcher in The Rye. Swearsies. Didn't have to in high school and none of my english professors in college were fans of it either. From what I can gather, I didn't miss out on much. This fucking guy Holden Caulfield is apparently a huge dick with no friends. "But what about the message?!" Sorry. Anyway, the color scheme on these is pretty autumnal and, thus, pretty sick. It kind looks like they dyed the plastic accents in French's yellow mustard and Heinz ketchup and I'm not that mad at it. If you're an english major at small liberal arts school in New England or the Midwest, this is the perfect opportunity to stunt on your fellow bibliophiles.
