Midnight Studios is the brainchild of Shane Gonzales, a young designer who has previously logged time with classic streetwear brand SSUR. Press wise, Shane's still fairly green—for what it's worth, this is our first time writing about Midnight—but you may have peeped his clothing on social media thanks to his bromance/working relationship with Ian Connor and the rappers Ian styles, like Wiz Khalifa. Either way, there are a couple clips out there from Complex and NYLON that provide a bit of context.

Shane debuted Midnight last year and, just today, released the lookbook for S/S 15, his most fleshed out collection to date. While clearly streetwear-inspired to some degree, Shane's clothing references high-end takes on the genre that he's so clearly a fan of (i.e. Undercover and Raf Simons). The white/black/blue color palette is super clean, obviously Four Pins-approved and, well, midnight-y if you want to get hyper literal with shit. That mismatched flannel is highly flammable and the esoteric screen-printed graphics and phrases are extremely of the moment, referencing the sometimes unexplainable gloomy and foreboding nature of most kids today whose hobbies include looking at fashion on the Internet while cursing out their parents. Thankfully, depressed youths kitted out to the nines is fucking tight. You will be able to pick up Midnight Studios S/S 15 directly from the brand when it drops mid-March.
