High Snobiety got the inside track on the pricing and the logo for the upcoming Kanye x Adidas collection, dubbed "Yeezy Season 1." Throughout his press tour, Kanye has continually preached that he wants to get his collection prices down to "H&M and Zara" levels, even if that's a ways out, and that he hates exclusivity. He has said that joining Adidas will allow his work to reach more people and "eventually" they will be affordable and available for everyone.
Well, the pricing for the upcoming collection will have you labeling Kanye a huge fucking hypocrite, though many of you haters, and even Kanye himself, think that already. According to High Snob, pieces are going to be expensive, like, really expensive. Whether these are 100% real, we're not sure yet. The complete breakdown is below, listed in Euros. We don't know if that's a misprint, but we've converted them to US dollars regardless:
Clothing:
Entry-level pieces, like hoodies and sweatshirts: $430
Knits and sweaters: $880 up to $1650
Outerwear: $1750 up to $3800+
Yeezy Duck Boot: $495
Yeezy 350 Boost Low: $209
Accessories:
Canvas backpack: $495
Leather backpack: $715
Leather bag: $880
While we've been bracing for some relatively high prices based on Kanye's interviews, I think it's pretty safe to say these leaked numbers come as a bit of a sticker shock. While many expected prices to be lower than Kanye's A.P.C. collaborations, on the whole, they're higher. We've reached out to Adidas for comment and will update this story as soon as we have more information.
