Funkadelic

Vans Vault is like the much cooler, fashion forward older brother of the regular Vans label, which is why they're always down to collaborate with crazy Japanese cats. For example, peep the Taka Hayashi collection for spring 2013. The seven shoe capsule line goes heavy on Vibram soles (So, I guess we're still doing that, eh?) and a few almost resemble a cross between Visvim and some funkadelic ass space boots, which isn't as bad as it now probably sounds in retrospect. As with most fancy schmancy designer collabs, there's no precise release date, but expecting them at retailers soon wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

1,3, and 5 kinda look like Nylite boots.

Dude, Taka isn’t just some “crazy Japanese cat” that Vans collaborates with. He’s an artist that works for Vans, and although he’s Japanese, he moved to the US in the 80s. Anyway, do your research. You’re cool anyway 4pins. Much love to Taka, always dope shit. im drunk, goodnight.
