Adidas Launches New Reservation App In Preparation For Kanye Collaboration Release

The sneaker release landscape in 2015 is basically a fucked up lawless land in which the most hyped sneakers are nearly impossible to actually buy. It's at a point where it almost feels useless to even try. So, Adidas thought to itself, "Why not change the game?" And it did. Today, the company launched a new app, Confirmed, that allows customers to reserve sneakers at a nearby store, making the copping process that much easier. This is a huge maneuver, especially considering just how utterly subpar Nike's online releases have been of late. The new app gives customers more control over limited releases, provides them with a fair shot at getting the shoes, gives them a notification when a pair is available and means they won't have to line up in order to get a chance at the most coveted kicks. Once customers reserve their pair, they can then swing by the store where they reserved them, pay and pick them up. It's that simple. Confirmed's launch is ingeniously tied to the upcoming Adidas x Kanye collaboration, providing everyone an actual fair shot at one of the most hyped sneakers in recent memory. Though the release date has not yet been announced for the shoe, Adidas VP of Brand Activation Simon Atkins telling Forbes that the app is directly associated with Kanye West points to big things in the near future.

You can download Confirmed now through iTunes and Google Play.

UPDATE: While not mentioned in the press release, Adidas Confirmed appears to be an "exclusive NYC shopping experience" as quoted in the app itself.
